Walt Drenth retired this fall after 16 years as the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country at Michigan State University and had previous stints at Arizona State and Central Michigan. Drenth meets DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss some of the big issues around the sport at the NCAA level, from uncertain schedules in 2021 to the financial dilemmas that are causing schools to cut programs. He revisits some of his biggest achievements in coaching, including the 2014 NCAA women's cross country championship team and the 2015 Big Ten Conference track championship team.
